Attachments Needed For Funding Proposals

  1. IRS determination letter

  2. Organizational budget for the current/upcoming year – should be approved by your Board

  3. YTD financial statements:  Profit-Loss; Balance Sheet

  4. Audits/financial reviews for preceding two years

  5. 990s returns for preceding year

  6. Support/commitment letters; MOUs; relevant contracts/agreements

  7. Organizational brochure; annual report; or other program or marketing literature

  8. Photos (high resolution; signed release forms on file for anyone depicted in photos)

Starting a Business

In Texas, you can register your business quickly and easily at the SOS Direct website

 

Nonprofit organizations seeking to become exempt under IRS section 501(c)(3) can complete the Streamlined 1023-EZ Form at Pay.gov in far less time than it used to take, with a quicker turnaround to get your IRS determination letter. Note: You will be asked to register with a form of payment, which will be used to collect your filing fee at the end of the application. The user fee for (long/regular) Form 1023 is $600. The user fee for Form 1023-EZ is $275.
